We had a great night at a pub in Whitley Bay to watch the play-off match between Sunderland and Portsmouth.
53 SAFC supporters of all ages filled the back room of an unnamed pub after they had given the secret password to enter the premises. Nerves were evident as the match went on and we knew we had to hang on for a draw or a win to get us to Wembley. There were quite a few 'hearts in mouth' moments towards the end but what a relief when that final whistle went. There were massive cheers and singing, which spooked some of the mags in the main bar, but we didn't care...WE'RE ON OUR WAY TO WEMBLEY!
